Malaysia to host first palm oil seminar in Dubai

Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) will jointly organise the first 'Malaysia-UAE Palm Oil Trade Fair & Seminar 2008’ in Dubai from May 26 to 27.

The two-day event will feature plenary lectures on important issues concerning the regional Malaysian palm oil trade, including prices, health benefits, challenges, shipping and marketing, and current market trends.

Government officials will divulge details on Malaysian Palm Oil exports to the UAE in 2008 and total trade between Malaysia and the UAE in 2007.

The speakers at the conference include Dato’ Seri Lee Oi Hian, MPOC chairman, Dato’ Dr Mohd. Basri Wahid, MPOB director general, Tan Sri Datuk Dr Yusof Basiron, MPOC chief executive officer, Syed Mohd. Hasrin, consul general of Malaysia in UAE, Dr Wafa Helmi Ayesh of Al Rashid Hospital, Dubai and Dr Widad Al-Obaydi of Al Widad Specialist Centre in Sharjah.-TradeArabia News Service
