Abu Dhabi's Union National Bank's third-quarter net profit more than doubled to Dh610.8 million ($166.3 million), the bank said in a statement on Wednesday.
The lender made Dh1.375 billion in the nine months to September 30, when compared to Dh833.31 million in the same period a year earlier, it said.
The bank made a third quarter profit in 2007 of Dh298.9 million. An analyst forecast for First Gulf Bank's quarterly profit was Dh395.10 million in a Reuters net profit survey in September.-Reuters
