Limitless, a Dubai World company, will showcase 11 developments, worth nearly $110 billion, at the upcoming Cityscape Dubai show when compared to five at the event last year.
The Limitless line up at this year’s show includes two newly-announced projects - Rasuna Epicentrum, the $1.7 billion mixed-use development in Indonesia and World Island Resort, the $350 million luxury hotel and villa complex in the UAE, said a top company official.
'Nine others – spanning 20,000 hectares and providing homes for more than three million people – will also be on show, along with a host of interactive attractions that reflect the Limitless vision: to enhance and enrich people’s lives by delivering distinctive, sustainable developments,' pointed out Saeed Ahmed Saeed, chief executive officer of Limitless.
They include Arabian Canal, Downtown Jebel Ali and Sanaya Amman (Jordan); Al Wasl (Saudi Arabia); Khimki Region (Russia); Bidadi (India); Puteri Harbour and Malaysia International Halal Park (Malaysia) and Halong Star (Vietnam).
An integrated global real estate group delivering distinctive, sustainable developments, Limitless, has more than doubled its global project portfolio during the last year.
“2008 has been a landmark year for Limitless. In the last 12 months, we have entered four new markets, announced six new developments and broken ground on three. We now have 11 international offices and at Cityscape we will demonstrate how we are changing people’s lives – globally – with a growing portfolio of tailor made, creative projects, all designed on a human scale, for a better way of life.”
'Visitors to the Limitless stand have a lot of surprises awaiting them. They will get a taste of life in its master-planned developments – and help the environment – with a variety of interactive features,' Saeed said.
'They can ride in an eight-seater ‘people mover’ designed to reduce car use and provide convenient, environmentally-friendly travel in Limitless’ large-scale developments. Passengers will take a global journey through Limitless projects, with the people mover’s onboard audio-visual display,' he noted.
They can discover a diverse range of real-life experiences with five hi-tech three-dimensional “stereoscopic” pods that see the world through the eyes of a number of people who live and work in Limitless developments;
Also the visitors will see how the Arabian Canal will transform Dubai, with its 75km water way and 14,000 hectare canalside city for 2.5 million people.
An 84 sq m model of the project will use light, sound and vision to highlight the region’s biggest, most complex civil engineering undertaking, which will be home to new towns, topography, tourist attractions and transport systems.
They can also explore the world of Limitless with a giant, 27 sq m digital interactive map showing the locations of the company’s projects, regions and offices and help Limitless preserve the environment by taking away one of 5,000 electronic brochures, which have been uploaded onto recycled USB sticks, saving some 250 kilograms of paper.-TradeArabia News Service
