Abu Dhabi's Strategic Plan 2008-2012 will bring the public and private sectors closer to each other and strengthen the emirate's position as a diversified and sustainable economy, said a senior official.
The plan, launched by the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development, aims to achieve multi-dimensional growth and a better future for coming generations, Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development director-general Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director-General Mohammed Rashid Al Hamili, said the council supports the emirate's economic development through executing initiatives in fields of privatisation, economic restructuring and development of policies.
It also aims to promote Abu Dhabi as a world economic destination and works to upgrade investment awareness among nationals.
