Employers prefer 'jobsites with regional expertise'
Dubai

Bayt.com has revealed an emerging trend in the methods that employers are using to recruit new staff, with over 33 per cent of polled employers indicating that regional expertise was the most important factor for them in selecting an online job site.

In a separate poll over 66 per cent of employers visiting the Bayt.com job site indicated that they recruit 61-100 per cent of their staff online.

This explains the meteoric rise to success of Bayt.com, a job site that was launched from within the region and that has committed itself exclusively to the unique needs of the region in physical presence, scope and expertise since its launch as the industry pioneer in 2000, said a company official.

The announcement of the figures follows from Bayt.com’s recent participation at the Getex exhibition, where the online recruitment leader recognised the tremendous inroads online recruitment has made in the Middle East region.

Most of today’s jobseekers are cognisant of the importance of having their updated CVs on leading region-specific job sites like Bayt.com, which is geared to the unique human capital resourcing requirements of the Middle East region’s job market, Bayt.com’s CEO, Rabea Ataya noted.

'Of the over 500 visitors that approached the Bayt.com stand, around 60 per cent were already registered on the job site; either as passive jobseekers interested in staying abreast of key market opportunities and trends, or as active jobseekers interested in securing a new position immediately or within a period of up to three months.'

“Getex is as an essential forum for Bayt.com to help promote and secure employment in the Middle East, by providing the fastest, easiest and most effective means for jobseekers to find top jobs, and for employers to find top talent,” Ataya observed.

“Getex allows us to reach out to jobseekers and inform them not only of the specific benefits but also of the importance of online recruitment as an indispensable tool in the recruiting arsenal of today’s top hiring managers, which has been reinforced by our recent research and poll results,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
