UOWD announces scholarships

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) has announced scholarships for the academic year 2008-2009.

Students who are selected for the scholarships get 20 to 100 per cent off on tuition fees, excluding living and other expenses.

New undergraduate students can apply for scholarships in academic excellence and sports achievement. Children of alumni can apply for scholarships in academic excellence, said a statement. 

Current undergraduate and postgraduate students can apply for Outstanding Students - Merit Scholarships and Outstanding Students - Sports and Merit Scholarships.

“As an excellence-driven institution, UOWD has always sought to reward outstanding students. This year we are pleased to increase the number of scholarships for undergraduate students to demonstrate our commitment to encouraging promising young students,” said Raymi van der Spek, vice-president Administration, UOWD.-TradeArabia News Service
