Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS) in Dubai, operated by Dubai Sports City, launched its fourth season this week with the opening of a new age group for six year-olds and a new term-based 10 week programme.
This season, MUSS has attracted over 750 participants from over 60 nationalities, with a large percentage being Middle East nationals and a high number being UAE citizens.
“The MUSS programme has grown in popularity every season, and it’s great to see more Emirati children getting involved,” said Khalid Al Zarooni, president, Dubai Sports City.
Manchester United Soccer Schools provides children with an insight into the development model derived from Manchester United’s football philosophy and introduces them to a social code of conduct that incorporates attitude, behaviour, communication, discipline, enthusiasm and fair play, to develop the children to their optimum level both on and off the field.
Each program within the MUSS curriculum will be based around the skills and play of individual Manchester United first team players.
The season will also host the first ever Dubai skills final with the winners representing UAE at the World Skills Final held in Manchester.
The fourth season of MUSS Dubai will be held at Emirates International School in Jumeirah and is set to be permanently located in Dubai Sports City upon completion of its new facilities within the Dubai Sports City Football Facility in 2009.-TradeArabia News Service
