The Harvard Medical School Dubai Center Institute for Postgraduate Education and Research (HMSDC) has selected six UAE women students for a three week training scholarship at Harvard’s affiliated hospitals in Boston, USA.
This is being done in collaboration with the Sharjah Womens college (HCT).
The centre is a member of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Medical Center, a part of Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), a member of Tatweer.
The program provided them with a broad interdisciplinary approach to their studies while facilitating intensive interaction with the Harvard medical faculty and students.
'The sponsorship initiative provides a unique opportunity for students to be involved in a highly engaging medical program,' said Dr Ayesha Abdullah, senior vice president of DHCC.
“These young women were exposed to expert training in their respective fields, and have brought back knowledge and skill to the region,” stated Dr Zahra Baalawi, director of education, HMSDC.
HMSDC is a joint initiative of Partners Harvard Medical International and DHCC.-TradeArabia News Service
