Over 70 exhibitors for Oman education expo
Muscat

More than 40 international higher education exhibitors and over 30 local education organisations are set to take part in an upcoming major international higher education exhibition in Muscat.

The 11th edition of Ghedex will run from April 20 to 22 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

“Despite the growing number of high quality education institutions in Oman with international affiliations, the number of Omani students studying abroad particularly in the UK remains strong,” Nick Hodge, managing director of Oman International Trade & Exhibitions (OITE), organisers of Ghedex 2010.

“This is attributed to the fact that UK is a favourite destination for Omanis to visit or study,” he added.

“The UK delegation once again has the highest number of participants at this year’s Ghedex, comprising more than 15 leading institutions. This number is expected to increase towards the big event.”

Ghedex provides Omanis and expatriates seeking to pursue higher education opportunities in the UK, with the best opportunity to check out various institutions.

A broad spectrum of international higher education options for students, young professionals and academic organisations will be showcased during the three-day event.

Alongside the exhibition, OITE will also organise a conference and seminar that will address the growing demands of the Omani market on higher education and training opportunities. – TradeArabia News Service
