Qatar’s Al Khot hospital plans to expand its facilities due to the rise in occupancy rate from about 60 per cent in the last few months to 85.5 per cent now.
There has been a dramatic increase in the number of patients in Al Khor hospital, a Gulf Times report said quoting hospital officials.
"The hospital has planned an expansion throughout all its 35 specialty clinics and 12 daily clinics,” said executive director Mohamed Ali al-Jusaiman.
New additions include a paediatric emergency centre, dialysis unit and a baby-friendly section as well as new clinics and services in the obstetrics/gynaecology, anaesthesia, diabetes, neurology and rheumatology departments.
