Etisalat, RIM launch BlackBerry Bold

Etisalat, UAE’s largest telecom provider and Research In Motion (RIM) is set to launch the BlackBerry® Bold, an innovative BlackBerry smartphone for both business and entertainment, in the Middle East.

Starting from October 7, the Etisalat customers will have the opportunity to experience a top of the line smartphone with an unbeatable combination of elegant design and advanced functionality for a great 3G experience, said a company statement.

Customers will be able to choose from three customized BlackBerry subscription plans from Etisalat that meets different customer needs.

The 'Unlimited Domestic' subscription plan provides unlimited access to BlackBerry Services within the UAE for Dh185 ($50.3) per month while the 'Unlimited Global' subscription plan is fit for those traveling regularly outside the UAE.

It gives them unlimited usage of the BlackBerry Service both in the UAE and abroad for Dh295 per month, the statement added.

BlackBerry Unlimited subscription plans from Etisalat for both Global and Domestic provides the true unlimited access to internet and BlackBerry Services, where as the Limited Domestic subscription plan offers 3 MB of Data Access per month for users who don’t require intensive usage for only Dh130 per month.

The BlackBerry Bold features a next-generation 624 MHz mobile processor that makes short work of downloading email attachments, streaming video and rendering web pages.-TradeArabia News Service
