Media and Marketing Show is back
Dubai

The Media and Marketing Show, the region’s premier event for the media and marketing industry, is back with a bang.

The fourth edition of the only show of its kind in the Middle East will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 3 to 5, 2008, and promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

The event was officially announced at a press conference held at the Dubai Media City (DMC), in the presence of general manager, Awraq Publishing, Ahmad Al Hamadi who was representing CEO, Arab Media Group, Abdullatif Alsayegh, executive director of Dubai Media City Mohamed Al Mulla, CEO of Domus Group, organisers of Media & Marketing Show 2008, Abdulla Abulhoul and managing director of Domus Group, Maysoon Abulhoul.

“As a region that is constantly under the international spotlight for the economic boom that we all know, it is important that we have a mature, responsible and up-to-date media industry,” said Al Hamadi.

“It is the media that is often the most visual representation of what a country stands for in the eyes of the rest of the world, and events such as MMS play an important role in shaping that image,” added Sayegh.

As the official support sponsor of the MMS 2008, Dubai Media City expressed its support and commitment to this specialised show.

“The success of the previous editions of the Media and Marketing Show has cascaded to the rest of the sector and benefited all stakeholders across the industry value chain. We are delighted to support the show that has evolved a platform fostering the media industry in the region. As one of the largest media hubs, Dubai Media City share the same vision, belief and ideals of the show in driving the media industry to world-class levels,” said Al Mulla.

The Media and Marketing Show 2008 ( MMS) will be a one-of-a-kind showcase for the latest industry initiatives, trends and technologies in advertising, broadcasting, entertainment, event management, marketing, new media, outdoor advertising and publishing.

“This year’s show is a must-attend event for media and marketing professionals from across the globe, and the increase in scope and size of the 2008 event confirms its growing influence,” said Abulhoul.

The 2007 Show attracted almost 10,000 visitors from 47 countries over the three days, the majority of whom (60 per cent) were senior management with specific decision making responsibility for marketing and advertising activities.

In keeping with a trend that has seen the show grow with each passing year, this year’s event is expected to attract more visitors and exhibitors than ever before, making it the place to meet and mix with the key players who are shaping the future of the industry in the region as well as across the globe.

Devised in a format that gives an equal amount of importance to every sector of the industry, the Show has earned the approval of the biggest players in the industry for being a highly effective platform for reaching a niche target audience.

Besides the enormous networking opportunities, the Show will also feature a host of cutting-edge conferences and seminars focusing on the finer points of the industry. Some of the best minds in the business will be in attendance at the event, sharing their views and discussing the future of the industry.

The Media and Marketing will be held at Halls 2, 3 and 4 in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.- TradeArabia News Service
