British Ambassador Iain Lindsay praised Bahrain Petroleum Company's (Bapco) contributions to the Kingdom during a visit to the company on Tuesday.
He was received by Bapco chief executive Gordon Smith and a number of top officials. The ambassador was accompanied by trade attachŽ Myrna Almeheiza.
During the visit, the two sides reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest.
After briefing the guests on the future programmes and projects in Bapco, Smith took them to a tour around the company's facilities.
The ambassador met a number of Bapco's general managers and managers as well as some of the British employees.
'I am aware of the contributions made by Bapco for the prosperity and development of Bahrain and I am delighted that there are so many British people working for this reputed company,' Lindsay said.
'I am glad that I have finally got the chance and came down here to meet all of you. Thank you to those who made a contribution to UK-Bahrain relations,' he remarked.
'This is an important time for Bahrain and I have to say that in terms of our relationship with Bahrain, I believe that we are in a very good place,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
