In line with all quality brand traditions, Cityscape Abu Dhabi will honour the real estate industry professionals in the Middle East and North Africa region for their outstanding achievements.

The Cityscape Middle East Real Estate Awards 2008 will celebrate excellence in real estate development and investment throughout the region, said a Cityscape organiser.

Aimed at recognising and promoting industry excellence, Cityscape Abu Dhabi will be presenting the awards for the second successive year.

The prize-giving ceremony will be held during a gala dinner on the opening night of the expo on May 13 at the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi. 

A panel of internationally-acclaimed industry professionals will judge the entries which have been sorted into eleven distinct categories.

They are Finance - Best Islamic Real Estate Finance; Finance -Most Innovative Finance; Marketing – Best Real Estate Marketing Campaign; Best Developer – Sustainable Development Award ;Best Developer – Corporate Social Responsibility Award; Best Developer – Waterfront Development (Built & Future); Best Developer – Retail Project Award (Built & Future); Best Developer – Commercial/Office Project Award (Built & Future); Best Developer – Residential Project Award (Built & Future); Best Developer – Mixed Use Project Award (Built & Future) and Architecture - Best Urban Design & Masterplanning.

Overall the entries will be judged on their contribution to world architecture culture, invention and imagination, respect for people and environmental awareness in the emerging & recently developed countries throughout the Mena.

In some categories entries have been separated into those already built and future projects that are incomplete or still on the drawing board.-TradeArabia News Service
