Electro launches RAK Real Estate Show
Ras Al Khaimah

Electro Med, a leading exhibition and events management company, has launched the second Ras Al Khaimah Real Estate and Investment Show (RAK REIS).

With a powerful line-up of exhibitors, RAK REIS - which is being held from May 22 to 24, 2008 at the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre, will showcase Dh35 billion ($9.53 billion) worth of real estate projects; aiming to help investors tap into the thriving realty sector in the northern emirates.

Targeted at the final consumer rather than at trade visitors, RAK REIS is a complementary initiative to the RAK Government’s economic development program to attract more investors and tourists to the emirate.

“Ras Al Khaimah has emerged as one of the most lucrative real estate markets in the Middle East,” said general manager, RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr Abed Al Rahman Al Shaib al Naqbi.

“Investors from around the world are beginning to take notice of this emirate, especially since the regulations on land and property ownership have been eased, coupled with the recent launch of mega-tourism residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.”

Many ongoing RAK tourism projects will be showcased at the exhibition, including resorts, theme parks, and five and seven-star hotels; all of which represent nearly Dh80 billion in investments within the next five years.

The event also aims to highlight the emirate’s tourism potential - one of the primary catalysts to the emirate's ongoing real estate boom - as tourist footfall has been expected to grow from 500,000 in 2007 to 2.5 million by 2012.

Sponsored by KHOIE, RAK Properties, and Saraya Islands; and co-sponsored by PMDC, Select Property and Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa; RAK REIS will gather personalities from the full cycle of property development, including developers, consultants, agencies, property managers, financiers and even public sector representatives.

Sultan, Property World, City Hotel, Consulting Engineering Group, BAZ, Reach, and all sponsors are some of the many exhibitors confirmed at the event, which is being supported by Al Aqaria News as Media Sponsor; and Reidin.com and Eye of Dubai as Online Information Partners. – TradeArabia News Service
