Toshiba unveils new satellite notebook
Dubai

Toshiba has launched its new range of satellite notebooks which boast of sleek design and sophisticated features.

The models are instantly recognisable by its sleek and modern design as every product in the new Satellite notebook family demonstrates attention to detail, said a company official.

'The textured palm rest and smooth touchpad with metallic mouse buttons give the user a truly tactile experience, while the white light outlines and high-gloss keyboard define the overall stylish look of the product,' said Santosh Varghese, regional general manager for Toshiba’s Computer Systems Division.

The satellite range will appeal to style conscious men and women who want a smarter digital experience, Varghese noted.

“Whether they are making their first foray into mobile computing or are already versed into wireless technology, the new Satellite notebooks are intended to become the heart of their digital lives – in a timeless design that has contemporary flair.”

Designed to stand apart from the crowd, the new range of Satellite notebooks incorporates sophisticated technology in a way that’s user friendly and simple to set-up.

The Toshiba ConfigFree provides hassle-free connectivity for wired and wireless networks to give you instant access to your digital world of music, movies, Facebook or whatever else you desire.

'The integrated web camera and microphone make it so much easier to record and upload videos on YouTube and keep in touch with friends and family. While the built-in USB Sleep ‘n Charge port allows you to recharge your phones or MP3 player even when your notebook is turned off, so you’ll always be ready to get up and go,' Varghese quipped.

'We also thought about securing your life! With the new Satellite range you don’t need to worry about people logging on without your permission. The advanced Toshiba face recognition system only lets you log on if a clever system recognises your face,' he explained.

Also the wireless log-on via Bluetooth mobile phone allows your phone and notebook to communicate to ensure your computer is locked when you leave the immediate area.

The HD graphics. DVD SuperMultie drive and the combination of Harman Kardon speakers and Dolby Sound Room offer a truly first-class experience when watching a movie, uploading photos or listening to favourite tunes in an electronic music library.

The satellite products will be available across the region in the second quarter of this year and will be priced as follows: Satellite U400 Series ($1050), Satellite A300 series ($975) and satellite L300 ($700) excluding customs duty and local taxes, VArghese said.-TradeArabia News Service
