MCS names new group marketing head
Dubai

Global subsea engineering company MCS has appointed  Kevin O’Malley as its new head of group marketing.

O’Malley will be responsible for developing and implementing a group-wide marketing strategy in support of the company’s strategic objectives and growth ambitions.

His appointment comes as the company marks its 25th anniversary and drives ahead with its ambitions to capture a significant share of the global subsea market, said an official.

With more than 15 years experience in marketing, technical support and product development across a number of different market sectors, O’Malley has a strong business and technical track record having previously held senior positions with CMS Peripherals, Wellman International and PPG Industries among others.

'I am very pleased to welcome Kevin to MCS. He will be instrumental in helping us to further increase our customers knowledge of the MCS portfolio of products and the innovative technology we are developing,” said John Conroy, group managing director at MCS.

MCS had embarked on a three year growth programme to capture a significant share of the global subsea market in 2006.

Two years into the programme, MCS has been transformed from a niche provider of engineering services to a company delivering comprehensive subsea engineering solutions leveraging advanced engineering capabilities and in-house developed software to major operators in markets stretching from the US to China and to Brazil.

Turnover has increased to nearly $30 million and employment across the company has risen over 40 per cent to over 200 employees spread across offices in Galway, Aberdeen, Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Perth (Australia), Paris and Kuala Lumpur.-TradeArabia News Service
