Delta plans new Middle East flights
Dubai

US-based Delta Air Lines is expanding its presence in the Middle East region with new services planned for Kuwait, Cairo and Amman.

Delta will launch a new non-stop service from Atlanta to Kuwait beginning November 7.

The Kuwait flight complement’s the carrier's existing service from Atlanta to Dubai, which will be increased from six flights a week to a daily service from October 7.

The airline will also launch new services from New York-JFK to Cairo (starting June 5) and Amman (starting June 6).

Delta operates Boeing 777-200ERs on its Kuwait and Dubai routes, while flights between New York-JFK and Amman and Cairo will operate on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.

“We are experiencing significant passenger and cargo load factors, greater than 80 per cent, on our Dubai to Atlanta flight,” said Manoj Kuriakose, sales manager - Middle East, Delta Air Lines.

“We offer the most comprehensive access between Dubai, the US and the Americas via our hub at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, where passengers traveling from Dubai have access to hundreds of easy connections,” he said.

Dubai is one of the 58 new international destinations Delta has added to its network since 2005 as part of its accelerated global expansion. Delta offers hundreds of connections to destinations in the US, Latin America and Caribbean via its hub in Atlanta.

Destinations that have proven popular with passengers traveling from Dubai include Houston, Los Angeles, Orlando, Los Angeles, San Diego and Tampa.

Delta serves Dubai with a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft seating up to 268 passengers and featuring Delta’s refurbished business and economy class service.–TradeArabia News Service
