Saudi-based Al-Mabani Steel Company has signed a contract for the implementation of the civil and structural works of its second plant with Azzam Contracting Company.
With a total cost of SR150 million ($40 million), the plant will be constructed in Yanbu Industrial City over a land area of 70,000 sq m, said a report in the Saudi Gazette quoting Muayyad Al-Khudairi, company’s president.
He added that the scheduled production capacity of the plant shall be increased to 72,000 tons of pre-engineered buildings (PEB) in addition to 24,000 tons of hot rolled steel strips (HRSS).
The project has started in early May this year and is expected to be completed within 12 months, Al-Khudairi added.
