Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways Group has announced its most profitable first half in history with a record net profit of KD7.5 million ($26.3 million) for six months ending June 2013, up 95 per cent from the corresponding period last year.
Air Arabia, a leading low-cost carrier in Mena, welcomed 379,092 passengers in August, an increase of over 22 per cent compared to the corresponding month in 2011.

Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, which saw a load factor of more than 75 per cent across the network last month, is all geared up to meet the summer rush with many of its routes already witnessing increased bookings, said its CEO.
Kuwait's low-cost carrier Jazeera Airways has registered a net profit of KD9.2 million ($33.4 million) in the first nine months of 2011 compared to a net loss of KD4.8 million during the same period last year.

Cathay Pacific Airways said it is set to launch direct flights on Bahrain-Hong Kong sector starting from August 1 with three non-stop flights from Bahrain and four non-stop weekly service on return.
Adressing a press conference on Tuesday,
Air Arabia said its net profit for the first three months of this year soared to Dh103 million ($28.04 million), up 32 per cent when compared to Dh78 million ($21.2 million) during the same period of 2008.
The Sharjah-based budget carrier
Air Arabia, the Middle East’s biggest low-cost carrier, posted a 14.4 per cent rise in second-quarter profit to Dh82 million ($22.32 million).
The company’s net profit for the first half of this year stood at Dh160 million ($43.5 million),
Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, achieved its highest load factor during April 2008, the airline said.
The national carrier also surpassed other regional carriers in its average passenger load factor for January-March period, it said
