Bahrain remains the Middle East North Africa (Mena) region’s most economically free country, according to the annual index of economic freedom published by The Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal.
Bahrain has been ranked number one, alongside the UAE, in the Fraser Institute’s annual report on Economic Freedom of the Arab World.
Bahrain, which ranked first last year, improved its overall score to 8.1 out of 10 from 8.0. The
Bahrain and the UAE enjoy the highest levels of economic freedom among Arab nations, according to a specialised international economic report.

The kingdom came 13 globally, while Hong Kong maintained its No 1 ranki
