Christie’s, a global art business, has reported that in 2014 its Middle Eastern client base grow by 23 per cent and overall Middle Eastern client registration in its international sale centres increased by five per cent.
The sale of Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art at Christie’s Dubai drove the $8.5million high estimate to $12.51 million yesterday (October 21), marking the highest sale total for the category since 2010.
Christie’s, an international company that offers art auctions and private sales to client, said that its April sales of Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish art totaled $6.4 million.

Christie’s Middle East in Dubai will introduce a new sale format in October, bringing the bi-annual Modern and Contemporary art auctions in line with other international art sales.
