The 35th edition of The Big 5, Middle East Concrete and PMV Live, the region’s biggest construction event which concluded recently in Dubai, UAE witnessed a record 81,401 participants, marking a nine per cent increase on 2013.
The recently concluded Big 5 2011, the largest event for the building and construction industry in the Middle East, attracted more than 49,000 participants, marking an increase of 6 per cent on last year’s figures.

Middle East Concrete (MEC) and PMV Live, the region’s only complete events dedicated to the concrete and PMV sectors, have opened its doors alongside The Big 5 Construction show, being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre until November 24.
A fresh wave of infrastructure spending has cemented the GCC’s position as one of the most exciting markets for gobal construction giants, with Saudi offering most opportunities, said experts while speaking at a roundtable in Dubai.
