HSBC named top trade bank

HSBC Bank Middle East Limited has been named the 'Best Trade Bank in Middle East and North Africa' at the Trade Finance magazine's annual awards function in London.

HSBC has won this award for the second year running.

'Winning this award reflects the high level of commitment that HSBC has dedicated to this core business. We were one of the first banks in this region and continue to be a firm supporter of local and international trade, which is the backbone of many economies in this region,' said regional head of Transaction Banking at HSBC Bank Middle East Paul Edgar.

'With a team of over 350 trade experts on the ground in 13 countries in the Middle East, HSBC is well positioned to build on its pre-eminent market position and capture the huge emergingtrade finance opportunities in this dynamic part of the world,' Edgar added.

Trade Finance magazine is published by Euromoney Institutional Investor and winners of the Awards for Excellence were decided based on poll of corporates in the region. Trade Arabia News Service
