Credit Suisse hosts BIRC, MENA conference

Dubai, June 11, 2008

Representatives from more than 35 leading companies from Brazil, Russia, India, China and the Middle East are attending a conference hosted by Credit Suisse in Dubai.

The inaugural “BRIC and MENA – Feel the Heat” conference, which opened yesterday (June 10) will conclude tomorrow.
 
Eric Varvel, chief executive officer of Credit Suisse in the EMEA region, said at the conference: “I’m very pleased to be here in Dubai for this important conference. Credit Suisse is a recognised leader in the emerging markets and we are pleased to be hosting our inaugural BRIC and MENA conference in the Middle East, one of our key growth markets. We look forward to continuing to deliver the integrated bank – private banking, investment banking and asset management services – to our clients.”

Bassam Yammine, co-chief executive officer of the Middle East at Credit Suisse, said: “We strongly believe in the growth prospects of these dynamic markets in the Gulf region.
