CBB hosts US business students

Manama, March 10, 2009

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) recently played host to a group of students from Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia, US, who are on a visit to the kingdom.

The students were welcomed by Aisha Nuruddin, director of Human Resources and Administration at the CBB premises in Manama.

The visit was aimed at introducing the students to Bahrain's Financial Sector and a practical insight into the workings of a central bank.

They were briefed by Bushra Al Haddad, head of compliance examinations, and Abdulla Bokhawa, head of Capital Markets at the CBB.

“We are delighted to have this opportunity to host students from Darden and provide them with an understanding of the CBB and its functions,” said Nuruddin.

The students are in the Kingdom as part of their course work for the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programme at the Darden Graduate School of Business.

They were accompanied by Dr Sherwood Frey, professor of Business Administration, at the University of Virginia.-TradeArabia News Service
