CBB publication translated into Japanese

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced the publication and distribution of the Japanese version of 'Islamic Banking & Finance in the Kingdom of Bahrain' in Tokyo.

This widely read, successful publication was initially published by the CBB in 2002, and used as a reference for many influential bankers, investors, and professors interested in the field of Islamic Finance. Due to its vast popularity, it was reprinted with revisions in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

This publication was put together by talented and knowledgeable minds from the Islamic Finance Industry selected by the Central Bank of Bahrain, and edited by its peers.

“The Islamic banking opportunity cannot be overlooked by globally-active financial institutions, and Bahrain’s expanding financial industry, led by the CBB, has always offered to provide its expertise in Islamic Banking to those interested in exploring the Islamic Finance opportunity,” said A Rahman Al Baker, executive director of the Financial Institutions Supervision at the CBB.

“As a well-established financial centre, Bahrain has played a key role in innovating the development of Islamic banking, which is one of the fastest growing segments of Bahrain’s financial industry,” Al Baker added.

“Sharing our experience and knowledge is a significant factor in this growth, and we trust this value-added publication will promote greater awareness of Islamic finance, and the tremendous potential this growing industry has to offer amongst our colleagues in Japan.”

The first production of  'Islamic Banking and Finance in the Kingdom of Bahrain', was issued on September 1, 2009, with 6000 copies which are now being sold in various bookstores in Tokyo.-TradeArabia News Service
