Key investment opportunities are reviewed

Manama, October 5, 2010

More than 350 delegates from across the world are taking part in this year's Annual Fund Forum Middle East at the Diplomat Hotel.

'The numbers this year are well up and we have completely sold out the exhibition space,' said International Centre for Business Information divisional manager Julian Kirby, who organises the event.

'It is a real global event as international asset managers are coming here as they recognise the opportunities on offer in the region.

'We always have a strong GCC presence but we have a strong showing this year from the US and Europe. They are looking at the global investment climate and see the Middle East as playing an increasingly important role in the world with a lot of focus on local investment opportunities with potential for foreign investment.'

He said that this year's event has held two private investment summits for the first time focusing on the Mena region and Saudi Arabia which both attracted about 50 delegates.

'The international fund management industry is now really interested in finding out how it can get a foothold in this region,' he said.

'We are delighted at the turnout and the enthusiasm of delegates and would wish to thank the Economic Development Board for its continued support in hosting this event.'-TradeArabia News Service
