Bupa Arabia reaches 52pc Saudisation

Jeddah, April 18, 2011

Bupa Arabia, a leading specialised health insurance provider in Saudi Arabia, has reached a Saudisation level of 52 per cent of the total number of employees, its chief HR officer said.

Zuhair Ibrahim Maghrabi was speaking at the recent third Saudi Labour Market Exhibition at the Jeddah Exhibitions & Conferences Center.

“The Saudi Labour Market Exhibition is an important link between job seekers and the private sector, in recruiting Saudi male and female employees in order to integrate them in the national workforce and enabling them to be a part of the Kingdom's social and economic development,” he added.

'Participating in such events is crucial to Bupa Arabia,” said Tal Nazer, CEO of Bupa Arabia.

“Localizing our manpower is at the core of our strategic planning for steady business growth and we are fully committed to train and recruit more young male and female Saudis as we continue to expand our operations, which stand in line with the government’s ambition to boost the country’s development and secure greater job opportunities for its citizens,” Nazer concluded.

Last year Bupa Arabia signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Human Resources Development Fund valued at more than SR2.6 million ($693,000) in order to recruit and train 94 male and female employees, a statement said.

Today, females represent one third of Bupa Arabia’s workforce, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
