Barclays launches 'infinite' credit card
Dubai, November 13, 2011
Major global financial services provider, Barclays, has launched its top-end credit card, Barclaycard Edge, offering consumers a revolutionary way to spend and earn.
Packed with exclusive privileges and benefits, UAE’s newest credit card has a lot of offers including 2.5 per cent rewards on all purchases, 10 per cent cashback on all dining and substantial golf benefits, a statement from the company said.
Barclaycard Edge card members will also enjoy complimentary membership to priority pass with access to more than 600 airport lounges worldwide, and buy-one-get-one free offers in the UAE.
Venkatesh Srikantan, head of consumer banking, Barclays UAE, said: “The Barclaycard Edge is truly a unique credit card. Members benefit not only from rewards on everyday purchases and a hassle-free 10 per cent cashback on every dining purchase, but also from a range of golf and travel benefits.”
“I am very excited about the dining cash back feature, which automatically credits 10 per cent of the entire dining bill to the card member’s account - eliminating the need to carry vouchers, discount cards, or the need to request a discount from the dining establishment. With UAE consumers becoming increasingly selective about the value offered by credit cards, the Barclaycard Edge offers a never-before-seen package of lifestyle and reward benefits,” he said.
Kamran Siddiqi, general manager, Visa Middle East, said: “We are very pleased to partner with Barclays to offer the Barclaycard Edge on the Visa infinite platform to offer card members an extensive range of financial and lifestyle benefits. We are confident that these benefits along with the exclusive privileges from Barclays will resonate well with consumers in the UAE who seek benefits to complement their unique lifestyle and banking needs.”
Additionally, Barclaycard Edge offers buy-one-get-one free offers at VOX Gold Cinemas, travel insurance up to $2 million, complimentary valet parking, and the Visa infinite concierge service, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
