Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain (KFHB) has introduced a secure online shopping service which will further enhance the security of all KFHB Islamic credit cards from internet fraud and make the online shopping experience safer.

KFH-Bahrain is the first Islamic bank to introduce this service which will enhance its position as a leading bank in providing advanced financial services that implement the latest technologies, a statement from the bank said.

Khalid Rafea, executive manager and head of the banking group, KFH-Bahrain, said: "We are committed to providing the best financial services to our customers. Initiatives like these are essential for us to become a leading bank in providing the best financial products and services to our customers.”

“The secure online shopping service is a free service that enables our customers to create an online password with the KFHB Visa Card to further secure online transactions while purchasing over the internet,” he said.

This service is only available with retailers participating in the secure online shopping service. Participating retailers can be identified by featuring a ‘verified by visa’ logo on their websites, the statement said.

The verification program was created by Visa to ensure a safe and secure online shopping experience using credit carda. Once a first purchase is made, the user will be asked to enter his/her details to make sure the credit card used matches the information recorded in the credit card account; the user will also choose a password.

This password will be required each time the user shops from a participating online store to complete the secure payment process. – TradeArabia News Service
