Bahrain to host major investment forum

The Industry and Commerce Ministry is gearing up to host "Invest in Bahrain 2013" forum and exhibition.
It will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on October 30 and 31 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, said a ministry statement.
The forum is part of the ministry's programmes to boost the national economy, following directives from the leadership and government to enhance the position of Bahrain as international centre for industry, commerce and services.
The forum, eighth is a series of events organised by the ministry, introduces investment opportunities for investors from inside and outside Bahrain.
This year the forum is organised in co-operation with the Economic Development Board, Central Bank of Bahrain and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The forum is an annual event that was organised for the first time in 2003. This year, the event will also witness close co-operation between the ministry and GCC agencies and organisations.
The event is expected to attract a large number of businessmen, businesswomen and local and foreign investors, in addition to Arab and international economic experts.
On the sideline of the forum, the ministry organises an exhibition for pioneer national industries that associate companies from various sectors.
The ministry is expecting to attract many investors because of the success of the previous events and led to the entry of many foreign companies that set up their operations in Bahrain.-TradeArabia News Service
