Bahrain CFA awards key charters

Twenty-six new charterholders in Bahrain were awarded their charters making them professionally certified chartered financial analysts (CFA).

The CFA Society Bahrain's eighth annual charterholder ceremony was held at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, Hotel and Spa, in the presence of 180 guests and society members.

Members include portfolio managers, analysts, chief investment officers, chief executive officers, investment advisers, pension plan investment officers and senior financial consultants, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

"Over the last five years, CFA Society Bahrain has grown to be one of the most important societies of CFA Institute in the EMEA region with 157 members," CFA Society Bahrain president Lamees Al Baharna said.

"Consequently, the society has taken the lead in promoting thought leadership as well as discussing a broad range of topical issues in what has been a demanding year for the financial industry.

"We continue to work on advancing the interest of the local investment community by promoting and maintaining the highest standards of professional excellence and integrity, contributing to the development of local capital market and professional skills, and actively promoting the CFA programme," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
