Kuwait GDP growth to hit 3.5pc in 2014

Kuwait's economy is expected to grow between three and 3.5 per cent this year, the country's central bank governor said on Wednesday.

Mohammad al-Hashel also told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting of Gulf central bankers that there would be less non-performing loans in Kuwait this year compared to 2013.

Analysts in a Reuters poll in January expected GDP growth of 2.8 per cent in Kuwait in 2013 and 3 per cent in 2014.-Reuters
