Abu Dhabi finance dept inks deal with Ajman

Abu Dhabi, March 16, 2014

The Abu Dhabi Department of Finance (DoF) said it has signed a MoU with Ajman to enhance mutual co-operation and strengthen strategic partnership between the two emirates.

The agreement was signed by Abdulla Ali Musleh Al Ahbabi, the acting undersecretary of DoF- Abu Dhabi and Walid Khalil Al Hashimi, the director general of DoF- Ajman at the DoF – Abu Dhabi’s Headquarters in the presence of top officials.

The MoU stipulates the need to create co-ordination mechanisms in order to share DoF- Abu Dhabi’s expertise and experiences with DoF- Ajman, to promote a culture of excellence between both parties by identifying best practices and experiences, in addition to cooperating on the preparations of joint events and activities, said a statement from the DoF.

Moreover, the agreement fosters the strategic partnership and will look to develop the internal working environments to further stimulate creativity and excellence, it added.

"DoF- Abu Dhabi has come a long way in adopting the best practices at the level of government financial work and has built a distinctive niche for itself on a regional and global level,"  remarked Al Ahbabi.

"DoF has realised that it is no longer possible for any private or government entity to successfully operate without the presence of an active partnership with strategic partners; it is vital that we work closely together in order to achieve our common goals and aspirations," he added.

On the agreement, Al Hashimi said: “We look forward to building a strong strategic partnership  to gain expertise in strategic planning with a specific focus on IT-based financial solutions, such as the Aderp System the Abu Dhabi DoF developed, and which represents an important milestone for it and the Abu Dhabi Government.”-TradeArabia News Service
