NBAD launches e-academy

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has launched an e-academy to enhance the development of its staff’s skills and optimise its delivery of services and products.
 
The NBAD E-Academy, a multi-faceted learning and knowledge platform, will work in custom-made modules, said a statement.
 
It will offer more than 600 hours of financial e-learning modules accredited by top international associations; such as Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI), Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), The Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF), Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA); and Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
 
Ehab Hassan, group chief HR officer and senior managing director, said: “We are delighted to launch NBAD E-Academy, which confirms our commitment to develop the skills of employees and maximise their potential. This in turn ensures that NBAD continues to be a trendsetter and delivers the best products and services to our core customers.”

It has two facilities in Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates, where staff members will routinely attend skills-boosting training programmes.

The academy’s curriculum aims to support the achievement of business goals.” 
 
The academy’s programmes also include a number of programmes to strengthen and advance the banking career of UAE nationals, said the statement.
 
NBAD’s Emiratisation programmes are the Afaq Management trainee programme, which allows fresh graduates to pursue master’s degree in finance which they gain practical experience in the office or branch; Al Sadara employees study for a Masters in International Business and gain work experience simultaneously; Tomouh offers sponsorship to young UAE nationals who demonstrate exceptional academic achievements to pursue bachelor degrees at prestigious international universities; and Al Bedaya for UAE nationals who start work after high school. - TradeArabia News Service
