Riyadat in support deal with consultancy
Manama, August 13, 2014
Riyadat, a joint venture between Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) and the Supreme Council for Women, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Empower Business Solutions and Consultancy.
Riyadat operates a business incubator centre in A'ali for Bahraini female entrepreneurs, giving them space and resources to promote their business and sell their wares, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
Under the agreement, Empower will provide support and assistance to enterprises and other projects located at the centre, through a user-friendly accounting and resource planning system.
This will be followed by an assessment of their performance with continuous support being provided to assist the entrepreneurs in achieving target profitability and ensure sustainability.
Empower is also a tenant at the centre.
The agreement was signed by Riyadat chief executive Adnan Al Balooshi and Empower's Emma Esmail Almansouri at the BDB headquarters in the Diplomatic Area, Manama, in the presence of BDB deputy non-financial services division general manager Shaikh Hesham bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
Al Balooshi said the agreement was in furtherance to the BDB's strategy in promoting a co-operative environment between entrepreneurs in order to support small and medium enterprises' development, and contribute to the development of the national economy in line with Economic Vision 2030. - TradeArabia News Service
