Solidarity General Takaful (SGT), a subsidiary of Solidarity Group Holding, has appointed Jawad Mohammed as its general manager.

Mohammed was SGT’s deputy general manager, and has been with the group since 2003, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

He has more than 20 years of experience in business management, insurance and strategic planning and is also an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.

“Jawad's appointment is a reflection of the board's confidence in his abilities to guide our flagship company in the current challenging market environment,” said Solidarity Group chief executive and SGT vice-chairman Ashraf Bseisu.

“The vision is to see Solidarity General become the leading Sharia-compliant insurance company in Bahrain,” he added.
