Public-private sector partnership urged in Bahrain

Bahrain’s Premier has stressed the need to boost partnership between public and private sectors.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry board, led by chairman Khalid Almoayed, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The Premier pointed out the importance of government initiatives striking a balance between the organisational needs of the private sector and the interests of trade.

He underlined the government's keenness to promote the concept of partnership by continuously reviewing issues pertaining to the commercial field.

“The government is continuously assessing its decisions and policies, mainly those pertaining to the economic field, to ensure their efficiency and positive impact on the sector,” he said.

The Premier paid tribute to the chamber for its key role in defending traders' interests.

The Prime Minister reiterated the government's adherence to democracy and openness as a way to fast-track economic momentum.

He also urged the chamber to maintain its active role as a key partner in the nation's development.

He stressed that the chamber will always remain an essential partner in economic decisions, underlining the pivotal role of the private sector in spurring economic growth.

Almoayed praised the Premier's unflinching support to the chamber and the trade momentum.
