Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance has signed a memorandum of understanding with Malaysia's International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance.

Signed by BIBF academic studies and Islamic finance studies centre head Ahmed Al Rayes and International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance executive director Mohammad Akram Laden, the agreement aims at co-operation in the development of academic and training programmes mainly in finance and Islamic banking, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Under the agreement, emphasis will be on boosting the educational quality of programmes, exchange of cadres, teachers and researchers, as well as research and administrative visits, workshops, lectures and conferences.
