MANAMA, June 4, 2015

The Standard Chartered Falconflyer credit card has been named winner of the 'Most Improved Payment Card' in the Middle East.

This was announced at the Smart Card and Payments Awards ceremony at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The co-branded credit card with Gulf Air, Bahrain's national carrier, has also won the 'Best Credit Card in the Middle East' by The Asian Banker earlier in 2014.

“This award is a testament that we are on the right track with our strategy in building and growing our business to deliver best-in-class service.”

Standard Chartered Bahrain head of retail clients Dalal Ahmed Al Qais said, “We highly value our partnership with Gulf Air and continuously look to offer unique and exclusive privileges to our segments.

“I would like to thank teams from both Standard Chartered and Gulf Air for their efforts in making this partnership a successful collaboration.

“Standard Chartered Bank has been in Bahrain for over 90 years, and we are strongly committed to the local community and Bahraini companies as well as providing the best financial solutions to our customers.”

Gulf Air acting chief commercial officer Ahmed Abdulla Janahi said, 'We are delighted to see the success of our fruitful collaboration with Standard Chartered Bank.

“Offering the bank's customers and Gulf Air passengers greater opportunities to experience the airline's array of destinations and award-winning products and services, while giving them added benefits whenever they use the co-branded credit card, is our way of rewarding our loyal customers.

“We are pleased with the feedback and recognition garnered to-date and look forward to even more attractive collaborative initiatives,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
