UAE banks begin fees collection for e-authentication services

ABU DHABI, July 7, 2015

UAE’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) has launched the fee collection phase for authentication service pertaining to certificates of origin and invoices for imported goods, which are provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The services are paid for by using the e-dirham system for those required authentication services, said a statement.

The e-dirham team are working on currently activating this service in five banks operating within the country, following its activation across all the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ offices and diplomatic missions around the world, it said.

Standard Chartered Bank is the first bank to offer this service in the UAE, providing its customer base ranging individuals and companies, with the opportunity to complete authentication of certificates of origin and invoices in addition to all related fees electronically through the e-dirham cards, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
