Saudi Arabia imports drop 12.2pc in July

RIYADH, September 13, 2015

Saudi Arabia's imports dropped 12.2 percent in July compared with a year earlier, while non-oil
exports tumbled 20.6 per cent, data from the Central Department of Statistics and Information showed.

Non-oil exports traditionally account for around 12 percent of the overall exports of Saudi Arabia. The world's
largest oil exporter does not release complete trade data on a monthly basis.

The non-oil exports in July totalled SR14.506 billion, compared to SR18.279 billion in July 2014. The figure was 15.379 billion in June this year.

The kingdom's imports totalled SR44.597 in July this year, compared to SR50.773 billion during the same month last year. The imports were worth SR51.825 billion in June this year. - Reuters
