Falcon Group announces key appointments

Falcon Group, a leading specialist financier, has appointed three senior originators - Ray Webb, Martin Betts and Keith McConnell - to develop its forfaiting capabilities.

The trio will be responsible for delivering a range of forfaiting services and proposing Falcon’s existing solutions to an extensive network of international relationships, said a statement from Falcon, which operates throughout the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

An industry veteran, Webb has over 30 years of experience in trade and export finance, banking and forfaiting, with a proven track record of success serving a wide client base of exporters, manufacturers and traders located worldwide.

He had previously spent eight years as managing director with Deutsche Forfait AG, where he established the London office. Prior to that he was a director with Aon Forfaiting Limited.

Betts has a 25-year track record in trade financing with particular focus on establishing and developing a series of senior client relationships across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. He set up the Deutsche Forfait London office alongside Webb and had former roles with Aon Forfaiting and SMBC Europe.

McConnell brings more than 35 years of experience in trade finance across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, insurance and finance companies. He was previously with Deutsche Forfait and Aon Forfaiting following senior roles with Hungarian International Bank and Marsh McLennan.
