Deloitte admits new partner in Oman

MUSCAT, December 14, 2016

Deloitte, a leading professional services firm, has signed up Ahmed Al Qassabi as its partner in Deloitte Middle East - Oman.

Al Qassabi has financial advisory as well as regulatory experience and has been instrumental in Deloitte’s Omanisation programme, which aims to develop the skills and careers of Omani youth under Vision 2020 economic plan, said senior Deloitte officials, while making the announcement at its annual regional partners meeting held in Dubai, UAE.

He also leads ‘Mustaqbaly’ the firm’s Omani recruitment, training and development programme, now in its second year, it stated.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Al Qassabi spent several years at the Oman Capital Markets Authority (CMA), where latterly he held the position of director general - issues and disclosures.

In his role at the firm, he handles key clients in audit and financial advisory in Oman, and leads corporate governance initiatives.
