Over 500 delegates for ICA conference in Bahrain

MANAMA, September 25, 2019

Over 500 attendees including senior government officials and economic affairs experts are expected to take part in the upcoming Interarab Cambist Association (ICA) Conference in Bahrain.

The 44th edition of the event will take place under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister on October 24-25 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

The event is being organized by the Bahrain Financial Markets Association (ACI) in cooperation with the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).

Shaikh Khalifa bin Duaij bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, president of the Crown Prince’s Court and chairman of ACI noted that this will be the Kingdom’s fifth time hosting the conference, having previously hosted the event in 1979, 1991, 1999 and 2013.

Shaikh Khalifa further noted that since the inception of the conference in Lebanon in 1973, Bahrain has hosted the international event the most times when compared to other countries in the region.

“The ICA Conference is an opportunity to introduce the Kingdom of Bahrain’s local banking and financial system and the field of direct and indirect investments while amplifying Bahrain’s role in the future development of financial markets,” he explained.
He welcomed the participants and attendees of the upcoming conference, stating: “Our distinguished speakers and attendees have unprecedented experiences and expertise in the fields of finance and economics that will be shared with the conference through a number of qualitative discussion sessions.”

Shaikh Khalifa underscored the significant role played by the financial and banking institutions within the Kingdom, and praised the support provided by these institutions to the Bahrain Association of Financial Market Traders in its work to organize the 44th Conference of the Arab Federation of Financial Market Traders (ICA).

“It is conducive for these institutions to showcase their successful experiences to the leading economic decision makers in Bahrain, the region and the world, as well as enhance their reputation and enter into fruitful working relationships with prestigious regional and global financial and banking institutions,” he concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
