Abu Dhabi takaful company Watania wins key ISO certification

Abu Dhabi-based National Takaful Company (Watania) said it has secured ISO 10004:2018 certification for monitoring and measuring customer satisfaction, an international standard for best practices linked to customer satisfaction and happiness.
Watania was founded in 2011 to cater to the demand of UAE market for sharia compliant insurance products. It focuses on personal and commercial insurance business lines and its operation is in full compliance of sharia regulations.
Watania said this certification highlights its commitment to UAE customers and business partners.
The company has been conducting transparent service feedback surveys, and ensuring that the integrity of the processes were not compromised.
Watania believes that feedback from its customers and business partners is critical to ongoing improvement in its service levels and addressing emerging needs, said its chairman.
"We have done this by identifying various touch points in customers’ journey, which provided a comprehensive customer satisfaction feedback and initiated improvement plans," remarked Dr Ali bin Harmal Al Dhaheri.
Watania had launched MyConnect portal in June last year, thus allowing customers to issue their Takaful policies online within 4 minutes, without any physical interaction.
"In addition to the internal teamwork this exercise could not have been completed successfully without the support of our customers and business partners," he stated.
"Our vision and directives has been to focus on growth through enhanced levels of service and ensuring that in time Watania would become the insurer of choice in its chosen segment. It is this vision and focus that has led to Watania achieving this prestigious certification," he added.
