Foreigners buy $646.3m shares on DFM

Dubai Financial Market on Saturday said that the value of shares bought by foreign investors or non-UAE nationals, during last week  (April 27 - May 01) touched Dh2.374 billion ($646.3 million) comprising 38.9 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. 

The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached Dh2.298 billion comprising 37.7 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

The net foreign investment on the market reached Dh76.1 million during the same period, as aggregate buy, said a DFM official.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during last week reached Dh1.9 billion comprising 31.1 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period hit Dh1.68 billion which constitutes 27.5 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period, the official said.

The net institutional investment on the market reached Dh220 million during the period as aggregate buy.-TradeArabia News Service
