Foreigners buy $315m shares on DFM

Dubai, November 8, 2008

Dubai Financial Market said the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, during last week (November 2 - November 6) reached Dh1.156 billion ($315 million) comprising 36.2 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached Dh1.220 billion comprising 38.2 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net foreign investment on the market reached Dh64.3 million during the same period, as aggregate sell.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during last week reached Dh719.9 million comprising 22.5 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached Dh871.9 million which constitutes 27.3 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

Net institutional investment on the market reached Dh152 million during the period. as aggregate sell. - TradeArabia News Service
