Bahrain cbank sukuk oversubscribed

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 680 per cent.

Subscriptions worth BD68 million were received for the BD10 million issue, which carries a maturity of 182 days.

The expected return on the issue, which begins on February 17 and matures on August 18 is 0.92 per cent.

The Sukuk Al Ijara are issued by the CBB on behalf of the government of Bahrain. – TradeArabia News Service
